What are you going to do?
For the logistics and packing department of this company, we are looking for an employee who, in addition to performing operational tasks, knows how to maintain an overview of the shop floor. You will be responsible for the delivery and removal of materials, preparing pallets, correctly stacking and checking goods, and assisting with internal movements. In addition, you ensure that the flow of goods around the packing line runs smoothly. This will also involve occasionally operating a forklift.
In addition to logistical tasks, we expect you to be able to support colleagues in daily management, for example by distributing work or identifying bottlenecks.
The position is primarily in day shifts (07:30–16:30 / 08:00–17:00), but flexibility is desired. For example, in the event of illness or leave of colleagues, you may temporarily work in a 2-shift system (06:00–15:00 and 15:00–24:00).
About the employer
This international family business specializes in the production of private label pet food for dogs and cats. With dozens of production sites spread across Europe, the company supplies a complete range of dry food, wet food, snacks, and biscuits to customers worldwide. Quality, food safety, and customization are central to their working methods. The premises are located in Nieuwkoop. Due to the early working hours, it is important that you have your own transportation to travel to work. If you live in Alphen aan den Rijn, Ter Aar, Uithoorn, or Mijdrecht, for example, the location is certainly easily accessible.
Requirements
- Own transport to travel to work;
- You have knowledge of the English language. Another language is a plus;
- Flexible attitude;
- Willingness to potentially work in a 2-shift system;
- Ideally, you possess a forklift certificate and experience. If you do not have this yet, we can support you in obtaining it.
What we offer
- A starting salary depending on experience that varies between €2,600 and €3,070;
- For work before 06:00 and after 20:00, you receive a 25% surcharge;
- If you work in shifts, you receive 13% on top of your salary;
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per km;
- Holiday days, holiday pay and pension accrual;
- Contract with the prospect of a permanent position;
