Senior Logistics Employee in Nieuwkoop
What are you going to do?
For the logistics and packing department, we are looking for someone who performs hands-on work while simultaneously maintaining an overview of the shop floor. You will be responsible for the delivery and removal of materials, preparing pallets, stacking and checking goods, and assisting with internal movements. Additionally, you will ensure that the flow of goods around the packing line runs smoothly. You will occasionally operate a forklift.
In addition to these duties, you support the daily management of the department. You assist in distributing tasks and identify any bottlenecks in the process.
You work the day shift from 07:30 to 16:30 or from 08:00 to 17:00. In the absence of colleagues, you may temporarily work a 2-shift system, with working hours from 06:00 to 15:00 and from 15:00 to 24:00.
About the employer
You will be working for the client in Nieuwkoop, an international family business that produces private label pet food for dogs and cats. With production sites spread across Europe, the client supplies a wide range of dry food, wet food, snacks, and biscuits to customers worldwide. Quality, food safety, and customization form the basis of this.
The location in Nieuwkoop is easily accessible from Alphen aan den Rijn, Ter Aar, Uithoorn, and Mijdrecht, among others. Due to the early working hours, your own transport is necessary. You will join a professional production environment where quality and collaboration are central.
Requirements
- You have your own transport to reach the work location;
- You have a command of the English language; knowledge of an additional language is a plus;
- You have a flexible attitude and can easily switch gears when tasks change;
- You are willing to work in a 2-shift system if necessary;
- Ideally, you hold a forklift certificate and have experience operating a forklift. If you do not yet have this certificate, you will have the opportunity to obtain it through us.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,070, depending on your knowledge and experience;
- A surcharge of 25% for hours worked before 06:00 and after 20:00;
- A shift allowance of 13% when working in a 2-shift system;
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;
- Holiday days, holiday pay and pension accrual;
- A contract with the prospect of permanent employment with the client;
- A day shift work week, with the option to work in shifts if necessary.
