What are you going to do?
As a packaging operator, you are responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the packaging process. You operate, set up, and monitor the packaging lines and ensure that the animal feed is packaged according to the correct specifications. Thanks to your technical insight and precise working methods, the production process continues to function optimally.
Your duties include, among other things:
- Setting up, starting up, adjusting, and converting packaging machines;
- Performing quality checks and identifying deviations;
- Resolving minor malfunctions and assisting with maintenance work;
- Recording production and quality data;
- Keeping the workplace clean and safe in accordance with applicable hygiene and safety guidelines;
- Contributing ideas for improvements within the packaging process.
You primarily work during the day shift, with working hours from 07:30 to 16:30 or from 08:00 to 17:00. In the absence of colleagues, you may temporarily work in a 2-shift system. The working hours are then from 06:00 to 15:00 and from 15:00 to 24:00.
As a packaging operator, you play an important role in ensuring the quality of the finished product and actively contribute to an efficient production process.
About the employer
You will be working for the client in Nieuwkoop, an international family business specializing in the production of private label pet food for dogs and cats. With multiple production locations spread across Europe, the client supplies an extensive range of dry food, wet food, snacks, and biscuits to customers worldwide. Quality, food safety, and customization are central to the organization, ensuring customers can count on products that meet high standards. The work location is in Nieuwkoop and is easily accessible from Alphen aan den Rijn, Ter Aar, Uithoorn, and Mijdrecht, among others. Due to the early working hours, your own transport is necessary to reach the location. Requirements
- You have your own transport to reach the work location;
- You have a sufficient command of the English language to properly understand tasks and instructions;
- You have technical insight; experience with production machines is a plus;
- You work in a structured and accurate manner and have an eye for quality;
- You are flexible and willing to work in shifts if necessary;
- Ideally, you hold a forklift certificate and have experience operating a forklift. If you do not yet have this certificate, you will have the opportunity to obtain it through us.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary between €2,600 and €3,070, with advancement opportunities up to €3,390;
- A surcharge of 25% for hours worked before 06:00 and after 20:00;
- A shift allowance of 13% when working in shifts;
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;
- A contract with the prospect of permanent employment with the client;
- A full-time position within an international production environment;
