What are you going to do?
Do you live in the Netherlands and speak fluent Arabic? Then this international Application Engineer role is perfect for you! In this role, you'll bridge the gap between technology and customer needs within the Middle East. Your duties will include:
- Assessing technical requests and answering substantive questions from customers.
- Actively asking technical in-depth questions to gain a clear understanding of the customer's needs.
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations in both Arabic and English.
- Provide commercial input to the sales team in developing customer-focused solutions.
- Extensive travel to the Middle East for customer visits, project management and installations.
- Act as a technical point of contact in the pre-sales phase.
Please note: you live in the Netherlands, but are willing to travel regularly to the Middle East.
About the employer
The client is an internationally operating technical company with a branch in the Netherlands. From this location – easily accessible from The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Schiphol Airport – you will work with colleagues on technical solutions for clients in the Middle East. The work environment is modern, international, and focused on collaboration between engineering and sales.
Requirements
- You are a native Arabic speaker and have an excellent command of English. Dutch is a plus.
- You live in the Netherlands and are willing to travel extensively to the Middle East.
- HBO or WO education in mechatronics, electrical engineering or similar.
- Experience in equipment machinery or technical pre-sales is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills, customer-oriented attitude and commercial thinking.

- Salary between €4000 and €4600 gross per month (based on 40 hours).
- Full-time employment (40 hours per week).
