What are you going to do?
We are looking for a warehouse employee in the distribution department for a major player in the flower world. In the morning you ensure that all orders are picked in the cold room and put on our 4.5 km long legendary track. With music in the background, you pick the most diverse flowers and provide them with a customer-specific label. In the afternoon, when the picking process is complete, the stock must be counted and you will work with other colleagues in another department. You will be trained to become a logistics jack-of-all-trades who can work in various departments.
About the employer
The client is a leading Dutch flower exporter with full services that focuses on cut flowers. The company has been located in Aalsmeer, the heart of the Dutch flower trade, since 1959. They have customers all over the world and mainly supply importers and cash & carry centers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
They process and trade flowers from a fully air-conditioned 36,000 m² warehouse. They buy the flowers directly from growers all over the world and at all important flower auctions in Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk (Westland) and Rijnsburg. They offer our customers the most complete webshop for cut flowers in the world, with a great additional range of greenery, plants and decorations to complete your orders.
The company is easily accessible by car or bicycle. It is more difficult with public transport and that is why it is important that you live near the company. If you live in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zaanstad, Haarlemmermeer, Leiden or Aalsmeer, the company is easily accessible.
Requirements
As a logistics employee in the distribution department, we expect the following from you:
- Accurate: You are accurate in collecting the right numbers and selecting flowers;
- Eagerness to learn: You show an eagerness to learn and are willing to quickly master new tasks and processes;
- Flexibility in working hours: You are flexible when it comes to working hours, and you are willing to work both early and late shifts;
- Language skills: In addition to a good command of the Dutch language, knowledge of English is a big plus, allowing you to communicate effectively in an international environment;
- Enthusiasm for the profession: You have a genuine interest in working in the flower sector and are looking forward to working at the most beautiful flower company in the Netherlands.
What we offer
At this company you will not first work on a temporary temporary employment contract, but you will immediately receive a full-time permanent appointment for a fixed period. Furthermore, the company offers:
- A salary between €2400.00 and €2700.00, which can increase due to experience, knowledge and skills;
