What are you going to do?
As an assistant team leader in the dry mechanical department, you are constantly helping colleagues. Because of the large work surface, you go from operator to operator to ask them if they need help with anything. In the event of malfunctions, you are the first to be called to help and you walk, cycle or scooter as quickly as possible to the location of the malfunction to resolve it or escalate it further internally. Together with the team leader, you manage about 20 to 30 people and help the team leader to finalize the schedules. We work in 4 teams that work from Monday to Saturday. So you are free on Sundays, unless you have the first shift on Monday, because then you start working on Sunday evening.
There is always 1 team free on a day and the other 3 teams are working, see below as an example:
Team 1 | 5:15 to 2:45 | Total 8.5 hours.
Team 2 | 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM | Total 7.5 hours.
Team 3 | 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM | Total 8.5 hours.
Team 4 | free.
On average you work 37 hours per week and get paid for 40 hours.
It may be that you are scheduled for 34 hours one week and 46 hours the following week.
The schedule is always known well in advance, but they do ask an assistant team leader (ATL) to be flexible.
About the employer
Our client has a large distribution center in Bleiswijk and is easily accessible from, for example, Rotterdam, The Hague, Zoetermeer, Leiden and Westland. Every day, trucks with DKW and fresh products drive to the stores and packaging is returned to the DC. The distribution center is equipped with many mechanized parts, so the process is partly automated and therefore works very efficiently.
Requirements
- Physically and conditionally in order due to the large distances you cover every day.
- Own transport, because you cannot be on time by public transport due to the shifts.
- Good command of the English language.

- Salary of maximum €3,200 per month (including allowances).
