What are you going to do?
Your job as a mail sorter is to ensure the mail goes to the correct delivery person in the mailbag, and you and your colleagues ensure all mail is sent out every day. As a production worker, you'll work at one of the client's sorting locations, sorting the mail with your colleagues. You'll then bundle the mail and place it in the correct order in bags for the mail carriers. It's important that you're organized and precise, as your work ensures the mail carriers can deliver the mail correctly and on time.
If you have ever worked as a warehouse employee, order picker, logistics employee or production employee, for example, then this position might be for you.
About the employer
Our client is one of the largest players in mail delivery in the Netherlands and has many locations in the Randstad. The building where you'll be working is located in Amsterdam-Westpoort. Because you'll be starting early, it's important that you can arrive on time. So, if you live near Amsterdam, Zaandam, Schiphol Airport, Hoofddorp, or Haarlem, you'll definitely have a good commute.
Requirements
- There will be an induction day. This is on Tuesday, August 19th ;
- Working hours are from 06:00 to approximately 09:30 ;
- The working days are from Tuesday to Saturday ;
- You work neatly and pay attention;
- You arrive on time and you are reliable;
- You continue until the work is completely finished;
- You speak Dutch and/or English.
What we offer
- The salary for this position is €14.40 per hour ;
- Between 06:00 and 08:00 120% surcharge (€17.28 per hour) ;
- Your average hourly wage in this position is €16.05 ;
- You will receive a travel allowance of €0.23 per km if you live further than 6 kilometers;
- We pay your salary every 4 weeks;
- We contribute to your pension (from age 21);
- Vacation / leave days;
- You start with a temporary employment contract;
- If you perform well, there is always the option to stay longer
- Free parking.
