Freight Forwarder Ocean Export in Barendrecht
What are you going to do?
As a freight forwarder within the Ocean Export team, you'll manage international ocean freight shipments from start to finish. You'll liaise with customers, shipping companies, and carriers, ensuring smooth and accurate document processing. You'll monitor deadlines, actively track shipments, and respond promptly to any discrepancies. You'll utilize your knowledge of Incoterms, international logistics processes, and export documentation. This role requires independence, accuracy, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. Thanks to your experience, you'll ensure every shipment departs on schedule, exactly as expected of an Ocean Export freight forwarder.
About the employer
The client is a global logistics service provider specializing in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and supply chain management. The office in Barendrecht, near the Port of Rotterdam, supports clients with air, sea, and road transport. This location is easily accessible from Rotterdam, Dordrecht, Ridderkerk, Spijkenisse, and Gouda, among others. The office also handles customs documentation, import and export processing, and logistics coordination. The organization does not own its own transport assets but acts as the orchestrator of the logistics chain by collaborating with various carriers. Freight forwarders, customs specialists, and customer service representatives work at the office to ensure the smooth flow of international goods.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a freight forwarder
- Experience with Incoterms
- Speaking and writing English is a must
- Speaking Dutch is a big plus
- Experience with or interest in Ocean Export
