What are you going to do?
Do you want to lead without sitting behind a desk all day? As Foreman of the Afternoon Shift in Bleiswijk, you are right in the middle of the operation. You work from 12:00 to 21:00 and ensure that the morning's work is properly taken over, distributed, and completed. In doing so, you manage a team of approximately 5 to 15 permanent and agency workers on a daily basis.
You discuss priorities, distribute tasks, and monitor progress throughout the shift. You check whether orders are processed correctly, records are accurate, and safety agreements are adhered to. If a problem arises with planning, staffing, or quality, you investigate the cause, make a decision, and help the team move forward. You pitch in where necessary and use your practical experience to make processes clearer and more efficient.

The client manages a significant part of the logistics chain for indoor and outdoor plants. Large volumes arrive at the distribution center in Bleiswijk, products are processed, and orders are dispatched to retailers in the Netherlands and other European countries. Bleiswijk is conveniently located for candidates from Zoetermeer, Rotterdam, Bergschenhoek, Gouda, Waddinxveen, and surrounding areas. Requirements
- MBO 3 or 4 working and thinking level;
- 2 to 5 years of logistics or operational work experience;
- Experience in guiding or managing a team;
- Knowledge of processes such as inbound, distribution, and forwarding;
- Proficiency with scanners, digital records, and a WMS;
- Good oral and written knowledge of Dutch and English;
- Own transport and flexibility to work occasionally on Saturdays.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary of €3,000 to €3,575, commensurate with your experience and excluding allowances;
- Fixed working hours from 12:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday;
- An irregularity allowance when the hours worked qualify for it;
