What are you going to do?
Are you at your best when the logistics operation is in full swing, and can you stay sharp later in the day as well? As a Working Foreman for the Evening Shift in Bleiswijk, you maintain control over planning, quality, and collaboration from 17:00 to 02:00. You provide direction to a team of approximately 5 to 15 colleagues and actively work alongside them on the floor.
At the start of the shift, you review the schedule and details. Afterwards, you distribute the work, check progress, and ensure that orders are processed correctly and on time. You are the first point of contact for questions, resolve bottlenecks practically, and make adjustments when staffing or work backlog changes. You also check registrations in the system, maintain a safe and tidy workplace, and provide clear feedback. Do you see an opportunity to work smarter? The client is active in the international logistics of indoor and outdoor plants. From Bleiswijk, plants are purchased, processed, distributed, and shipped to major retailers in Europe. The operation handles high volumes and requires accuracy, speed, and good coordination between teams. Sustainability and process improvement play an important role in the daily working methods. The location is easily accessible by private transport from Zoetermeer, Rotterdam, Bergschenhoek, Gouda, Pijnacker, and surrounding areas, among others. The location near regional main roads is practical for candidates who wish to travel outside of regular rush hour.
Requirements
- MBO 3 or 4 working and thinking level, preferably in a relevant field;
- 2 to 5 years of experience in logistics, production, or another operational work environment;
- Experience with leading, coaching, or distributing tasks;
- Knowledge of logistical processes and quality controls;
- Experience with scanners and a WMS system;
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
- Own transport and willingness to work occasionally on Saturdays.
What we offer
- A salary between €3,000 and €3,575 gross per month, depending on experience and excluding allowances;
- Working hours from 17:00 to 02:00, Monday to Friday;
- Irregularity allowances in addition to the base salary, where applicable;
- A travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;
- 26 vacation days, with an arrangement to purchase extra days;
- 8.25% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 1%;
