What are you going to do?
As a Foreman in Bleiswijk, you lead the afternoon shift and actively work on the shop floor yourself. You work from 12:00 to 21:00 and ensure that the morning's tasks are properly taken over, distributed, and completed.
You manage approximately 5 to 15 permanent and temporary staff on a daily basis. In doing so, you deal with, among other things:
- Discussing priorities and dividing tasks.
- Monitoring progress during the shift.
- Checking orders, registrations, and safety agreements.
- Solving problems related to planning, staffing, and quality.
- Supporting the team when needed.
- Identifying bottlenecks and improving logistical processes.
- Ensuring a smooth handover between different departments.
As a Foreman, you combine leadership with hands-on work. This allows you to stay close to daily operations and make adjustments quickly when necessary. Experience as a logistics team leader, working foreman, operational coordinator, or warehouse supervisor is a good fit for this position.
About the employer
You will be working at the client's location in Bleiswijk. The client handles a significant part of the logistics chain for indoor and outdoor plants. Large volumes are received, processed, and shipped daily at the distribution center to retailers in the Netherlands and other European countries. Within the organization, there is a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and improving daily operations. The location in Bleiswijk is easily accessible by private transport from Zoetermeer, Rotterdam, Bergschenhoek, Gouda, and Waddinxveen, among others. You will work in an environment where collaboration and clear direction are important.
Requirements
- You have an MBO 3 or 4 working and thinking level.
- You have 2 to 5 years of logistics or operational work experience.
- You have experience guiding or managing a team.
- You are familiar with processes such as inbound, distribution, and shipping.
- You can work with scanners, digital records, and a WMS.
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.
- You have your own transport and are occasionally available on Saturdays.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €3,575, depending on your experience and excluding allowances.
- Fixed working hours from Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 21:00.
- An irregularity allowance when your worked hours qualify for it.
- A travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer.
