What are you going to do?
As Morning Shift Foreman in Bleiswijk, you start early and ensure that the logistics operation gets off to a good start. You begin at 06:00, distribute the tasks, and lead a team of approximately 5 to 15 colleagues on a daily basis. In addition, you actively work alongside your team on the shop floor.
You will be involved in, among other things:
- Dividing tasks and setting clear priorities.
- Monitoring planning, quality, and safety.
- Checking orders and registrations.
- Identifying and resolving deviations and delays.
- Mentoring new and experienced colleagues.
- Coordinating details with other parts of the operation.
- Contributing ideas for smarter and more efficient working methods.
As a Morning Shift Foreman, you are visibly present on the work floor and can switch gears quickly when necessary. Experience as a working foreman, logistics team leader, warehouse supervisor, or logistics supervisor is a good fit for this position.
About the employer
You will be working for the client in Bleiswijk. The client is active in the international floriculture sector and handles the processing and shipment of indoor and outdoor plants to retailers in various European countries from a modern distribution center. Within the organization, there is a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and improving logistical processes. You will work in an environment where speed and accuracy are important and where collaboration is central. The location in Bleiswijk is easily accessible by private transport from Zoetermeer, Bergschenhoek, Rotterdam, and Gouda, among others. Due to its location near major arterial roads, the early shift is easy to combine with living in the region.
Requirements
- You have an MBO 3 or 4 working and thinking level, preferably in logistics, technology, or supply chain.
- You have 2 to 5 years of experience in a logistics or operational environment.
- You have experience guiding or managing colleagues.
- You have knowledge of inbound, distribution, forwarding, or similar processes.
- You can work with scanners and a WMS system.
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.
- You have your own transport and are occasionally available on Saturdays.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €3,575, depending on your experience and excluding allowances.
- Working hours from Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 15:00.
- Irregularity allowances, where applicable.
- A travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer.
- 26 vacation days with the option to purchase extra days.
- 8.25% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 1%.
