Distribution Team Leader in Bleiswijk
What are you going to do?
As Distribution Team Leader in Bleiswijk, you are responsible for the daily management of a team within a large European distribution center. You ensure that goods are received, stored, and shipped safely, correctly, and on time. In doing so, you monitor the progress of the logistical processes and make adjustments where necessary.
In this role, you combine leadership with improving work processes. You guide and coach a team of more than 20 colleagues, oversee quality and safety, and work closely with other departments.
As Distribution Team Leader, your responsibilities include work planning, inventory management, cycle counting, and accurate record-keeping in the warehouse systems. You analyze results and propose improvements using methodologies such as Lean, 5S, and PPI.
You work in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and cGMP guidelines. In doing so, you will deal with various temperature zones, including refrigerated and frozen storage.

The client operates a large European distribution center in Bleiswijk where more than one million orders are processed and shipped annually to destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Tens of thousands of different items are stored and processed at the distribution center. The client focuses on reliable deliveries, quality, and the continuous improvement of logistics processes. Sustainability and efficient inventory management also play an important role. The location in Bleiswijk is easily accessible from Rotterdam, Zoetermeer, Gouda, Berkel en Rodenrijs, and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Minimum MBO 4 or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or operations;
- At least 2 years of managerial experience with teams of more than 20 people, or relevant experience as a senior or lead in logistics;
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
- Experience with Microsoft Office and preferably warehouse management systems (WMS);
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, PPI, and quality guidelines is a plus;
- If necessary, you can lift goods up to approximately 22 kg and work in different temperature zones.
What we offer
- A gross monthly salary between €3,700 and €4,500, depending on knowledge and experience;
- A full-time position of 40 hours per week;
- Working hours from Monday to Friday, without shift work;
- Only occasional extra work outside regular working hours;
